Six TNRD directors now certified
Six Thompson-Nicola Regional District board members received level 1 certificates in local government leadership at the recent Local Government Leadership Academy at the 2011 Leadership Forum in Richmond.
Electoral Area J (Copper Desert Country) director Ronaye Elliott, Electoral Area B (Thompson Headwaters) director Max Lentz, Electoral Area A (Wells Gray Country) director Tim Pennell, Electoral Area I (Blue Sky Country) director Barry Tait, Electoral Area L director John Taylor and Electoral Area E (Bonaparte Plateau) director Sally Watson all received certificates.
Electoral Area P (Rivers and the Peaks) director John Sternig also attended the conference.
“The LGLA certificate is a great way for our board members to help sharpen their leadership skills and, ultimately become better elected officials,” said TNRD Chair Peter Milobar.
