TNRD welcomes new staff member

Regina Sadilkova has been hired as the Thompson-Nicola Regional District’s new director of development services.

Sadilkova comes from Powell River, where, for 12 years, she was the approving officer and manager of development services.

She will replace outgoing retiring director Andrew Swetlishoff on July 18.

“Regina will offer a new vision and fresh approach and was the best amongst a worthy group of candidates,” said Greg Toma, the regional district’s chief administrative officer.

Sadilkova has a bachelor of architecture from Carleton University and a master’s degree in community and regional planning from the University of British Columbia.

Before joining the City of Powell River, Sadilkova worked for eight years in the private sector in Alberta and B.C. as a development consultant for project design, planning and management.

She is a registered member of the Planning Institute of British Columbia and the Canadian Institute of Planners.

The TNRD covers 11 municipalities and 10 electoral areas.
