Passenger traffic down five per cent at Kamloops Airport
While Kamloops Airport recorded a slight increase in travellers in July, compared to July 2010, its yearly passenger tallies are down five year cent from 2010.
In July, 21,561 travellers used the airport, a one per cent increase over the 21,321 who used the facility in July 2010.
Through the first seven months of this year, 151,834 passengers passed through the airport, a five per cent drop from the 159,512 passengers who walked in and out of the building through the end of July 2010.
Meanwhile, work on the expansion of the car park is nearing completion, with minor work and clean-up expected to continue for another two weeks.
Airport manager Fred Legace said signs are being installed to better mark the new traffic patterns around the airport circle.
