The Canadian Home Builders Association- Central Interior featured 26 winning entries in the seventh annual Keystone Home Builders Awards of Excellence, held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Thompson Rivers University’s Grand Hall.

The winners:

• Best Single Family Detached Home Under 1,500 square feet: DW Builders – Modern Southwest.

• Best Kitchen Design Project under $30,000: Dynamic House Design Inc. —  Red.

• Best Single Family Detached Home 1,500-1,999 square feet: Homex Development Corporation — Hidden Trails at Mount Dufferin.

• Best Creation of a Unique Feature Exterior: Trout Creek Enterprises — The River Bear.

• Best Single Family Detached Home 2,000 -2,499 square feet: Casol Designs Ltd. — Battle House.

• Best Creation of a Unique Feature or Room Interior: A&T Project Developments Inc. — Patio and Pool House “Making a Splash.”

• Best Affordable Housing Project: HR Pacific Construction Management Ltd. —  Vista Lofts.

• Best Residential Renovation under $75,000: DW Builders — Modern Update.

• Best Kitchen Design Project $30,000 and over: MDL Cabinetry and Millwork Ltd.— Jackson.

• Best Public-Private Partnership: A&T Project Developments Inc. and Quinn Developments Ltd. — RiverBend Seniors Community.

• Fortis BC Building Energy Efficiency Award: Sun Rivers Construction Ltd.

• Best Landscape Design Project $30,000 and over: DW Builders — Backyard Oasis.

• Best Single Family Detached Home 2,500 square feet and over: Markin Home Designs — Linfield Dream.

• Best Multi-Family Development: Mibroc Group — Alamar.

• Best Residential Renovation valued between $75,000- $199,999: Copper Island Fine Homes —  The Lamberts.

• Best Marketing Project print advertising: A&T Project Developments Inc. and Quinn Developments Ltd. — RiverBend Seniors Community.

• Best Housing Design: Dynamic House Design Inc. —  Flodstrom Residence.

• Best Sales Centre/Show Home: Sun Rivers Construction Ltd. — Construction Showcase 2.

• Best Residential Renovation $200,000 and over: DW Builders — Sleek City View.

• Best Sales Person or Team in New Home Construction: Kate Calhoun — A&T Project Developments Inc. and Quinn Developments Ltd., RiverBend Seniors Community.

• Best Customer Service by a CHBA CI Member: Dynamic House Design Inc.

• Best Single Family Detached Home  $750,000 to $4 million: Libertas Custom Homes — McDonald Residence.

• Best Sub Trade: Creekside            Plumbing Ltd.

• Best Supplier: Excel Industries Ltd.

• Customer Choice Awards (less than 10 homes): Sun Rivers Construction Ltd.

• Customer Choice Awards (10 or more homes): A&T Project Developments Inc.

“This event profiles some tremendous local talent in our industry,” said CHBA-CI president Brian Hayashi.

“We have some outstanding product in our region and this is the venue to showcase what is being done that is out of the ordinary.”
