An evening of global awareness
The Kamloops Global Awareness Network (KGAN) is hosting an international development drinks night on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Frick and Frack in downtown Kamloops, at the corner of Victoria Street and Sixth Avenue.
The meeting will serve as a casual gathering of people and organizations interested in international development.
Organizers say the evening is an opportunity to chat, debate, socialize and connect with others who are passionate about working, volunteering and learning more about international development.
There will be brief speaker presentations through the evening and information will be provided about local international-development related organizations, plus free appetizers for those who arrive early.
Everyone is welcome to this event — whether interested in meeting new people or to engage in discussion about sustainable development.
For more information, or to RSVP, go online to kgan.org or email KGAN’s regional co-ordinator, Sarah Johnstone, at kamloopsglobalawareness@gmail.com.
