Provincial museum conference coming to Kamloops
In conjunction with its bicentennial, the City of Kamloops is hosting the 56th annual British Columbia Museums Association Conference.
The event continues through Saturday, Oct. 20, with more than 110 delegates from throughout the province coming to Kamloops.
They will hear from a variety of guest speakers, including former T’Kumlups Indian Band Chief Manny Jules and provincial museums minister Bill Bennett and Jack Lohman.
The opening ceremony is set for Thursday, Oct. 18, at Hotel 540 in the downtown core.
Hotel 540, at 540 Victoria St., is the main venue for the conference, but other activities will be held at the Kamloops Art Gallery and at T’Kumlups Indian Band facilities.
