Some of the best honey in British Columbia was ready to be judged during the weekend’s delicious portion of the annual general meetings of the B.C. Honey Producers’ Association, held in Kamloops. Outgoing president Stan Reist handed the President’s Award for exceptional service to Pauline Thompson, Gerry McKee and Ed Perzson. Distinguished service to the industry recognized the long-term contributions of Campbell Jones, while Mike Ambach was presented with a lifetime membership. Wayne Neidig was acclaimed president and incumbents Thompson and McKee were returned for another term. The 2013 conference will be held in October in Kelowna.
