Here’s where to take your expired meds
Pharmacies in the city are accepting expired medications as part of a campaign sponsored by the B.C. Pharmacy Association and the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.
Unused or expired medications can be harmful to children of pets and can contaminate the environment if tossed in the trash or flushed own a toilet, said association president Ralph Lai.
The TNRD is partnering with the association because of the positive environmental effects it will have, according to TNRD environmental-services director Peter Hughes.
