Labour council marks International Women’s Day
To mark International Women’s Day, the Kamloops and District Labour Council (KDLC) is hosting a midday soup kitchen at the United Steelworkers’ hall at 181 Vernon Ave. in North Kamloops on Sunday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The volunteer kitchen will be run by members of the KDLC and catered by Coun. Donovan Cavers, with hot meals and care packages to be distributed to those in need.
