Wanted: Writers for children
The Writers’ Union of Canada is holding its 16th annual Writing for Children Competition.
People can submit works for children up to 1,500 words.
Writers of any age can enter as long as they have never had any works published before and do not have a contract with a book publisher.
First prize is $1,500 and the winner, along with finalists, will have their works sent to three publishers of children’s books for consideration.
There is a $15 submission fee.
Entries should be sent to 90 East Richmond St., Suite 200, Toronto, Ont., M5P 1P1.
Deadline is April 24.
