Local talent feeds Live at Lunch

The Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association kicks off its eighth annual Live at Lunch series on Wednesday, July 4.

Keenan Wilcox is the first musician in the summer festival, performing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the 400-block of Victoria Street near the Kamloops Art Gallery.

The program allows local up-and-coming musicians and experienced veterans performing for passersby.

The program funs Tuesdays to Saturdays until Aug. 25.

It’s-been expanded this year to include the 100-block of Victoria Street on Fridays.

Performers will be in the 200-block on Tuesdays, the 400-block on Wednesdays, at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre and Lansdowne Village on Thursdays and the 300-block on Saturdays.

All shows are 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The schedule includes:

July 4: Kennan Wilcox, 400-block, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.;

July 5: Mr. M, Lansdowne Village, and Neil Burnett, Old Courthouse Cultural Centre, both 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

July 6: Jelly Switch, 200-block;

July 7: Oren Barter, 300-block;

July 10: Treena Plummer, 300-block;

July 11: Claire Carlson-Mitton, 400-block;

July 12: Tracy Jones, Lansdowne Village, and Dodie Goldney, Old Courthouse Cultural Centre’

July 13: AJ Ellsay, 200-block;

July 17: Perry Tucker, 300-block;

July 18: Mr. M 400-block;

July 19: Frieda Woerler, Lansdowne Village, and Ben Bermiller, Old Courthouse Cultural Centre;

July 20: Keenan Wilcox, 200-block;

July 21: Ben Nielsen, 300-block;

July 24: Richard Foreman, 300-block;

July 25: Margit Bull, 400-block;

July 26: Garry Gagne, Lansdowne Village, and Claire Carlson-Mitton, Old Courthouse Cultural Centre;

July 27: Rita Harpe, 200-block;

July 28: Hypnotic-blend 300-block;

July 31: Mike Hilliard, 300-block.
