NEW YORK (Billboard) - Rapper Jay-Z, whose latest album "The Blueprint 3" arrived in stores in Monday, will kick off a 21-date North American tour on October 9 in University Park, Pa.
The trek will visit both college campus arenas and traditional venues before wrapping in Austin on November 22.
Other stops include Edmonton (October 13), Seattle (October 17), Philadelphia (October 23) and Montreal (October 30).
The tour is the follow-up to last year's "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City" tour," which grossed more than $35 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.
Prior to the tour kickoff, Jay-Z will hold a charity concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday, in support of the New York Police & Fire Widows and Children's Benefit Fund. The show will be broadcast live on Fuse.
