Kamloops CA receives high honour

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC (ICABC) has recognized Michael Parker, a partner at Daley & Company LLP in Kamloops, with an Early Achievement Award for outstanding professional achievements.
“Mike has worked hard to make a difference in both the profession and his community,” said Richard Rees of the ICABC.
“We are thrilled to recognize his outstanding accomplishments.”
In 1995, when Parker was a 22-year-old University of Victoria student, he started his own business as a retail/wholesale importer of specialty coffee. Putting his undergraduate studies on hold, he focused his energy on launching and managing GroundWorks Coffee Co. in Terrace.
After two years spent overseeing every aspect of GroundWork’s operations, Parker sold the company to resume his university studies.
He graduated from UVic in 1999 and subsequently joined the Kamloops office of KPMG LLP and, in 2005, became a partner at Daley and Company LLP.
