Westmount kids win day on slopes
Grades 4 and 5 students from Katherine Richard’s Westmount elementary class will enjoy a free day on the slopes of Sun Peaks Resort on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
It’s all part of National Learn to Ski or Snowboard Day.
The students were selected for a free day of lessons, rentals and skiing/snowboarding, with transportation from Sun Star Shuttle and a hot lunch.
Richard’s class was picked after putting together a photo essay on how much they love winter and why they deserve a free day.
“It was by far the most-creative — and largest — submission and included many pictures and features as to why they should be chosen,” said Anne Haight, Sun Peaks’ director of sales and marketing.
