Bullies mugged special-needs student
Police are looking for four men after a special-needs Kamloops high-school student was mugged on the way to class last week.
Kamloops RCMP Const. Rose Dunsmore said the victim, an 18-year-old girl who attends NorKam secondary, was walking in the area of 13th Street and Sherbrooke Avenue in North Kamloops just before 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, when she was approached by the quartet.
Police believe the victim was kicked from behind, causing her to fall to the ground before being robbed.
Stolen was an orange down-filled jacket with a broken zipper and a backpack featuring a picture of wolves from the Twilight movie.
The four suspects are described as white, taller than five-foot-eight and in their late teens or early 20s.
The first suspect has blond hair, brown eyes and a lower-lip piercing, and was wearing dark clothes and white running shoes.
The second suspect has black, chin-length hair and was wearing a black hoodie with ripped black jeans and white running shoes.
The third suspect was wearing dark clothing with a hoodie pulled over his head.
The fourth suspect was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and brown shoes.
