Kamloops Mounties want to catch the those responsible for throwing objects at vehicles driving on the Trans-Canada Highway.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Doug Aird said police received two complaints nearly six hours apart from motorists travelling under the Pat Road pedestrian overpass in Dallas.

The first report came in on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 6:16 p.m., when the driver of a semi called Mounties to say his windshield had been smashed by a heavy object.

Police believe the second incident took place just before midnight, when the driver of a vehicle at the same location reported having been struck by a heavy object.

“Police are taking both these investigations very seriously,” Aird said.

“Objects thrown or tossed at moving vehicles can easily cause injuries or traffic collisions.”

Anyone with information about either incident can contact police at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
