Chase leads into TIB house
A Kamloops man is in custody after a dangerous chase on the Tk’emlups Indian Band reserve after a stolen truck plowed into a house.
Just after midnight on Monday, Feb. 14, police were called to a home on Ricardo Road on the reserve after the pickup struck a home, causing significant damage.
Officers attempted to pull the truck over, but the male driver wouldn’t stop, even after a spike belt flattened the vehicle’s tires.
At one point, police say he drove at Mounties.
The truck was eventually stopped and the driver was arrested.
He could face potential charges of possession of stolen property and assaulting a police officer.
