Oppal visits TRU campus
TRU’s new chancellor will make his first on-campus appearance in his new role next week as the university celebrates some of its most-distinguished alumni.
The former judge-turned-attorney-general of B.C. will speak at TRU’s annual Distinguished Alumni Awards banquet on Friday, April 8.
Oppal’s appointment as chancellor was announced in February.
He will be officially installed, alongside president Alan Shaver, at a ceremony in
June.
Proceeds from the banquet will go toward a bursary for students of TRU’s new law school.
