Rowdy parties in Westsyde

No arrests were made, but police made several trips to Westsyde overnight Friday (April 15) for raucous parties.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Doug Aird said the first call came in just before 11 p.m., when a homeowner in the 2500-block of Elston Drive reported partiers driving on his lawn.

Police shut down a party at a neighbouring house and discussed the potential for bylaw tickets for the owner of the house in which the party was held.

A few hours later, just before 2 a.m., police were back in Westsyde for a reported fight involving four men on Serle Road.

Aird said the fight had dissipated by the time Mounties arrived and no arrests were made.
