$1,000 reward posted in case of missing councillor

The family of a Neskonlith Indian Band councillor missing more than a month is asking for help in getting the word out.

Neskie Arrow Manuel was last seen in the early-morning hours of Sunday, May 8, while on a family camping trip on the west end of Neskonlith Lake near Chase.

Family members told investigators the 30-year-old walked away from the campsite at about 1 a.m., leaving his cellphone and other personal items behind.

Intensive searches of the area surrounding the campsite and side-sonar scans of Neskonlith Lake turned up no sign of Manuel.

The missing man's family is now asking people to pin up missing-person posters.

To get a poster or offer a tip about Manuel's whereabouts, call 1-855-NES-TIPS.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Manuel's whereabouts.
