RCMP patience leads to stolen-car recovery

The owner of stolen car from Alberta will soon be reunited with their wheels.

Kamloops Mounties arrested two suspects after tracking down the stolen vehicle at an apartment building in the 200-block of Beach Avenue on Sunday night (July 17).

Police had spotted the stolen car earlier that evening in North Kamloops, but couldn’t safely pull it over.

Investigators waited until the car was parked in front of the apartment building before making the arrests.

A 31 year-old man, who is known to police, was arrested and made a court appearance on Monday, July 18.

A 19-year-old woman was also arrested, but later released at the scene.

The car was a 1992 BMW, stolen from Edson, Alta.
