Bike BC funds bike paths in Kamloops
Kamloops cyclists will get better routes in Sahali thanks to an-almost $10,000 grant from Bike BC.
The organization is spending $9,618 to upgrade multi-use pathways along the Hugh Allan Drive and the Rogers Way bike route.
The Kamloops funding is part of 17 Bike BC projects worth $1 million through its cycling infrastructure partnerships program.
According to the provincial government, 10 kilometres of cycling every work day reduces greenhouse-gas emissions by 15,000 kilograms a year, while cycling eight kilometres is equal to 30 minutes of moderate exercise.
