Police probe witching-hour withdrawal in Juniper

Kamloops Mounties are asking witnesses for help in tracking down a pair of burglars who broke into the Juniper Market this week and stole the store’s ATM.

Police say the men entered the store, at 2049 Highland Dr., at about 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

They entered by smashing their way through a glass side door.

The men went directly for the ATM.

One of them pried it off the floor and the two dragged it away and into a waiting vehicle.

Police say the entire incident was caught on video surveillance and it occurred in moments.

Anyone who was in the area of the Juniper Market at about 4 a.m. on Tuesday, or anyone who knows anything about the burglary, is asked to call police at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
