Stabbing sends 18-year-old to hospital

One man was taken to hospital and another was taken into custody following a stabbing in North Kamloops on the weekend.

Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Quentin Smith said emergency crews were called to the incident in the 100-block of Tranquille Road at about 11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16.

In an apartment, they found an 18-year-old man who had been superficially stabbed.

He was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A police-dog unit located a suspect a few blocks away.

A 20-year-old man was arrested.

It’s not yet known if he has been charged.
