Bald is beautiful
Bald is beautiful — and it can go a long way in helping families in Kamloops deal with childhood cancer.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the parking lot at Starbucks at 300 Columbia St. will be buzzing with a charity event.
Pure Evolution Salon will be shaving heads for a donation of $20, with money raised going to the Bald Kids Rule Society, a group committed to helping Kamloops families deal with all that comes with fighting childhood cancer.
The society helps families with travel costs to and from B.C. Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, grocery gift cards, minor medical supplies and more.
Pure Evolution will also be selling T-shirts and hats featuring the Bald Kids Rule Society logo.
