One dead in fiery Highway 5 collision
One person is dead following this fiery collision on Highway 5, just north of the exit to Sun Peaks Resort, on the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 16.
A van travelling northbound apparently crossed the centre line and collided with a southbound logging truck, resulting in flaming wreckage.
The lone occupant of the van died, while the driver of the logging tuck (pictured) escaped injury. The highway is expected to be closed until at least 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16.
