Cost of public skating rising

Taking to indoor ice this year will get a bit more expensive as of Jan. 1 as the City of Kamloops will hike admission costs for public skating and drop-in hockey.

New public-skating admission fees are as follows:

• Youth (4-13): $3.50 (an increase of 25 cents).

• Student (14-18) $4 (an increase of 25 cents).

• Adult (19-59) $5.25 (an increase of 50 cents).

• Senior (60-plus) $4 (an increase of 25 cents).

• Families (up to four people): $11 (an increase of $1).

Adult-only and pre-school skating remain free.

New public-skating admission fees are as follows:

• Adult: $6 (an increase of $1).

• Teen: $4 (an increase of 25 cents).

Goalies continue to be admitted free of charge.
