Kamloops residents arrested in Salmon Arm area
Two Kamloops residents have been charged after police discovered a cache of stolen property in Silver Creek, near Salmon Arm.
On Wednesday, May 2, Salmon Arm RCMP received a report from a witness who had seen a quad at the Silver Creek Community Park. It was suspected the quad had been stolen earlier in the day near that location.
Upon investigating, police found a large cache of stolen property that included two quads, two gas-powered generators, a laptop computer and numerous other assorted tools and equipment.
Police estimate the total value of the items at more than $10,000.
Two people were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
Charged are Steven Beauvais and Jody Vigne, both from the Kamloops area. Police say Beauvais is a known prolific property offender. He is being held in custody, while Vigne has been released.
The majority of the property recovered has been returned to its owners, but several items remain.
