Abbotsford bank robber wanted on warrant out of Kamloops
Police are on the hunt for a convicted crook alleged to have fled a Kamloops half-way house.
Richard Wayne Heino had been serving a two-year federal prison sentence for two counts of robbery in Abbotsford.
Mounties say he took off from the half-way house, and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The 23-year-old held up a pair of Fraser Valley banks in May of 2010, and pleaded guilty later that year.
His criminal record includes other convictions for possession of stolen property, mischief and flight from police.
Police say he's also known to carry concealed weapons.
Investigators believe he might be in Princeton or the Lower Mainland.
Heino is aboriginal with dark brown hair and brown eyes, standing six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
Police think he might be using drugs.
Anyone who seek Heino or knows his whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
