Knife, intoxicants a no-no for man in park

A Kamloops man is facing two counts of breaching court orders and charges of weapons possession after allegedly waving a knife around Pioneer Park on the long weekend.

Kamloops RCMP received an anonymous tip at about noon on Sunday, May 20, that an intoxicated,  shirtless man was in the park with a knife.

When a patrol officer showed up, the man, who is known to Mounties, told the officer the knife was in his back pocket.

The officer then disarmed the man.

The 19 year-old man was found to be in breach of two conditions of his probation order, which require him to stay away from intoxicants and weapons.
