Hit and run driver turns himself in to police
A Thompson Rivers University international student will be a little bit lighter in the pocketbook after being ticketed for a hit-and-run last week.
The 23-year-old student from Kuwait went to police on Thursday, June 7, and said he had been the driver in a collision the previous day.
He told Mounties he was driving his 2005 Subaru Impreza at about 6 p.m. in downtown Kamloops when he struck an unoccupied parked vehicle.
Because there was nobody else around, he said, he went home and asked friends what to do.
He was given a ticket for failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
