Kamloops Mounties hunt shady muggers
Police are looking for a pair of shady crooks after a couple was mugged for a pair of sunglasses in a Sahali park.
Just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, Mounties were called to Albert McGowan Park on Summit Drive in Upper Sahali.
A couple walking in the area told investigators they were approached by two men who claimed to have a knife.
The thieves demanded valuables, but all they got was a pair of glasses.
"No weapon was produced and no one was injured," said Kamloops RCMP Const. Bernie Ward.
The suspects are both believed to be men in their early to mid-20s.
One is described as white with a fair complexion, standing six feet tall and wearing shorts, flip flops and a gray hoodie pulled tightly around his face.
The second is believed to have darker skin, standing five-foot-eight and wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.
Anyone with information can call police at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
