City works to fix two water-main breaks
The City of Kamloops is dealing with two water main breaks as of 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, one of which has been fixed.
The first issue was a service break at 5915 Todd Rd. in Barnhartvale.
A contractor was in the process of digging near a city water main and clipped a service line to the house.
The main has been isolated and crews are on site. Repairs have now been performed and service has been restored.
The other water break has occurred on the 200-block of Chancellor Drive in Upper Sahali. Crews are working to identify where the break is so repairs can start.
The city has shut down the distribution line that left the Upper Sahali area without water service. City crews estimate that water service will be restored at a reduced pressure later this afternoon.
Full pressure operation will be restored once the full repair has been completed.
