Vandals target North Kamloops
Kamloops Mounties are hoping tips from the public will lead them to a culprit — or culprits — after a rash of overnight vandalism this week in North Kamloops.
RCMP Staff Sgt. Grant Learned said investigators are looking into more than two-dozen instances believed to have taken place between midnight and 3 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15.
Vehicles parked in the area of Jasper Avenue, Kemano Street, Regina Avenue and Patricia Avenue were targeted, with vandals keying paint jobs and puncturing tires.
"The aggregate cost of the damages done to the vehicles is unknown, but is expected to be more than $50,000," Learned said.
Mounties are looking to speak with anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or knows who is responsible.
Tips can be called in to the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
