Aberdeen family devastated by mother's death
RCMP Victims Services are helping a Kamloops family following the tragic death of their mother on the weekend.
Melissa Jane Boisclair, a 42-year-old Aberdeen resident, was killed in the Lac Le Jeune area south of Kamloops when a tree being cut by her husband fell on her.
The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25.
Police say the accident took place on an secondary forest-service road 11.5 kilometres up Lac Le Jeune Forest Service Road. There were no other people reported in the area at the time.
Police accompanied the 47-year-old husband to the family home, where he had to break the news to the couple's two daughters.
Kamloops Rural RCMP and the BC Coroner’s Service are investigating.
