Short standoff in downtown Kamloops ends peacefully
A short standoff in downtown Kamloops on Thursday, Dec. 27, has ended peacefully.
Kamloops Mounties had closed Seymour Street at Fourth Avenue in mid-afternnon as they dealt with a distraught man in an apartment unit at the intersection's northeast corner.
The man could be heard yelling and had smashed a window.
At about 3:30 p.m., the man came outside and was taken into custody by police.
