Murder trial set to begin in September
Three weeks have been set aside for the trial of Jaipreet Singh Toor, who faces a second-degree murder charge in connection to the death of his father.
The trial is scheduled to start on Sept. 23.
Toor, 44, was arrested on March 20, 2012, after police responded to a call at 12:20 p.m. from someone in a house at 1189 13th St. in North Kamloops, where the body of 79-year-old Harsewak Singh Toor was found outside.
Neighbours told KTW at the time the son had mental-health issues and had often been seen in the neighbourhood exhibiting strange behaviour.
