TRU student union adds two positions
Two new positions will be on the ballot for the Thompson Rivers University Students Union (TRUSU) in March, thanks to a successful annual general meeting.
TRUSU president Dustin McIntyre, himself a three-year veteran of executive positions with the union, said he was delighted to see 136 students attend the AGM on Thursday, Jan. 24.
McIntyre said he believes creating the two new representatives — one for graduate students and one for gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer and trans students — galvanized students to come out and ensure the positions were created.
The meeting also approved long timelines for accepting nominations and voting for the various union positions.
