Summit Connector closed
UPDATE: As of 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, the southbound lanes of the connector had been opened, while the northbound lanes remain closed.
An accident involving a garbage truck has led to the closure of the Summit Connector, a major thoroughfare connecting North Kamloops and Thompson Rivers University and the Sahali area.
Police have closed the road as emergency personnel work the scene.
It is unknown what, if any, injuries have been suffered.
The connector will be close until at least 3 p.m.
