Homeowner surprises burglar
A homeowner interrupted an attempted break-and-enter in his house on Springhill Drive in Sahali on Wednesday.
Kamloops RCMP Staff-Sgt. Grant Learned said the man heard the doorbell ring several times and then a loud bang at the door leading into the garage.
When he investigated, he found a man in the mud room of the home.
The man then fled.
Police and a tracking dog responded, but did not find the intruder.
The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years of age with a medium build, standing between six feet and six-foot-four-inches tall and wearing a brown checkered jacket and a tan fisherman-style hat.
