KTW editorial proposal was a real turkey
Editor:
Re: KTW’s editorial of Oct. 6 regarding statutory holidays (‘Who needs a turkey day?’):
Yes, we certainly need to retain Thanksgiving Day as a statutory holiday, to recognize and appreciate all that on earth for which we are thankful.
The calendar and existing statutory holidays need to be left alone.
We don’t need to add or delete any of them.
If the provincial government is insistent on change, it can add the February Family Day, but it needs to leave Thanksgiving Day alone.
