Yamada's Kamloops rink aiming for Brier

Brent Yamada of Kamloops is 2-4 at the Canadian Direct Insurance B.C. Men's Curling Championship.

The skip and the rest of his rink — third Corey Sauer, second Andrew Barnes and lead Lance Yamada — lost their first draw 7-4 to Jeff Richard's Kelowna rink on Monday.

Yamada bounced back later that day with a 6-5 win over Jason Clarke's Victoria rink.

On Tuesday, Feb. 8, Sean Geall of Royal City topped the Kamloops rink 8-6.

Jim Cotter's Vernon-Kelowna rink topped Yamada 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon.

Tom Buchy's Kimberley rink edged Yamada 7-5 on Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Yamada's second win came Wednesday afternoon, when he beat Brent Pierce's Royal City rink 8-5.
