TRU hosts Vikes at Memorial

The TRU WolfPack hockey squad continues its quest for a B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League title tonight (Feb. 11) at Memorial Arena.

Entering the unfriendly confines of the Pack’s (13-2-1) barn for an 8:30 p.m. puck drop is the University of Victoria (11-4-1).

TRU sits in second place in the league’s standings, one point behind the Simon Fraser University (SFU) Clansmen.

The Pack have two games in hand on SFU.

“Our home fans are the best fans in the league,” said Pack head coach Lorne Cumming.

“We know how much it means to our guys to play in front of our Kamloops fans that have so many great memories of watching winning hockey at Memorial Arena. I know these two games with U-Vic will be excellent contests and know our fans will be entertained by two fast-paced, intense games.”

On Saturday, Feb. 11, TRU again play host to Victoria. Puck drop for that one is scheduled for 8 p.m.
