Storm in Sicamous for KIJHL playoff games
The Sicamous Eagles and the Kamloops Storm split the first two games of a first-round Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoff series.
On Thursday, Feb. 17, in Game 3, the Storm and Eagles were tied 1-1 in Sicamous when a hole in the ice forced the game to be postponed.
When play resumed on Friday, Feb. 18, Kurt Torbohm scored an unassisted goal in overtime to give Kamloops a 2-1 win and a 2-1 series lead.
Game 4 started is Sicamous shortly after the end of Game 3.
Dylan Richardson, Chase Edwards (2), Kevin Leschuk and Bevin Ollek scored for Kamloops, which topped the Eagles in Sicamous.
Game 5 is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, at McArthur Island Sport and Events Centre. Marty Hastings/KTW
