Pack split with Dawgs and Coyotes

The TRU WolfPack men’s baseball team posted a 2-2 record in Kelowna on the weekend.

TRU topped the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs 4-3 on Sunday, April 10.

Stefan Lono pitched 5 1/3 innings en route to his second win of the season.

The Pack were blanked 7-0 by the host Okanagan College Coyotes later on Sunday.

Steve Latos took the loss for TRU.

Kamloops’ university squad suffered an 11-6 loss to the Dawgs on Saturday, April 9.

TRU’s ace Danny Moore surrendered 14 hits and 10 runs in his first loss on the mound in over two years.

The Pack bounced back with a 5-0 win over the Coyotes on Saturday afternoon.

Denver Wynn went eight innings in the win, striking out eight and giving up five hits.

The Pack’s next home action at NorBrock Stadium is scheduled for April 23 against the Coyotes.
