Hockey Wolves on the prowl in Vancouver
The Fountain Tire atom Kamloops Wolves placed second in the brass division at the spring Mainland Hockey Tournament, which was held in Vancouver from Friday, April 15, to Sunday, April 17.
In their first game, Kamloops fell 6-3 to the Kodiaks.
Hayden Fidanza scored twice and Liam Rose added a single.
The Wolves, in their second game, topped the Junior Chiefs 7-2.
Fidanza notched a pair, as did Ben Ward, while Sebastian Ouimet, Branden McKimmie and Carter Adams scored singles.
In their third game, the Wolves blanked the WV Blackhawks 6-0.
Fidanza (2), Ward, McKimmie, Eric Bertuzzi and Brandon Gremaud tallied in the win.
The Wolves, in their fourth game, doubled the PHD Prospects 4-2.
Rose, Adams, Ouimet and Jayden Russell lit the lamp in the win.
The North Island Young Guns edged Kamloops 7-3 in their final game of the tourney.
Fidanza, McKimmie and Ward notched goals in the loss.
Nathan Nesci was between the pipes for the Wolves throughout the tourney.
