U17 Blaze boys earn silver
The under-17 Kamloops Blaze boys won silver at the Slurpee Cup in the River City on Victoria Day long weekend.
Okanagan Y League blanked Kamloops 6-0 in the final.
The Blaze opened their tourney with a 1-0 win over North Coquitlam, with Sean Jubinville scoring in support of goalkeeper Nathan Masi.
In their second game, Kamloops edged European Football School of Vancouver 3-2.
Justin Donaldson (2) and Clayton Farber notched goals in the win.
Farber and Stewart Lemphers scored in a 2-1 win over Okanagan in the final game of the round-robin.
The Blaze are in action against Kelowna at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, at McArthur Island.
