Long Blades' volunteers recognized by provincial association

A mother-daughter duo belonging to the Kamloops Long Blades was honoured at the B.C. Speed Skating Association's annual general meeting on the weekend (June 10 to June 12) in Burnaby.

Wendy Neville was named the association's volunteer of the year, while her daughter, Mackenzie, was named the youth volunteer of the year.

"The Nevilles joined the Kamloops Long Blades in 2002 and have been active participants ever since," Long Blades coach Sandi Vyse said.
