MINOR SOCCER BRIEFS: U-17 boys top the 'Shwap
The under-17 Kamloops Blaze boys topped Shuswap United 4-1 on Sunday, June 12, at McArthur Island.
Justin Donaldson (2), Clayton Farber and Scott Bjorkland tallied for Kamloops.

Kamloops will play in a provincial-playdown matches against Shuswap on Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19.
The boys’ under-17 provincial championship is being held in Penticton from July 7 to July 10.
U12 Blaze White girls go undefeated
The under-12 Kamloops Blaze White girls capped off an undefeated 15-0-1 season with wins over Revelstoke and Vernon in Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League play on Sunday, June 12.
Kamloops blanked Vernon 2-0, with Emily Mann and Adrianna Bissonnette netting the Blaze’s markers.
Mann, Kristen Sullivan and Moira Outerbridge split the shutout.
The Blaze beat Revelstoke 7-2 on the back of goals from Mann, Nicole Bison (4), Taylor Barron and Shae Fuoco.
Next up for the Blaze is the Baker Blast tournament in Bellingham, which gets underway on June 24.
U12 Blaze Blue girls post .500 record
The under-12 Kamloops Blaze Blue girls split their final two matches of the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League season.
Kamloops, in their first match on Sunday, June 12, handily defeated Shuswap 7-1.
Jorja Orsetti scored two goals, with singles coming from Katie Merritt, Katie Smoluk, Ashley Evin, Karrington Douglas and Hanna Isakson support of Kaitlyn Rex, who was the winning goalkeeper.
Penticton edged the Blaze 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Next up for the Blaze is the Baker Blast tournament in Bellingham, which gets underway on June 24.
U13 Blaze Orange girls top Penticton
The under-13 Kamloops Blaze Orange girls posted a pair of wins over the Penticton Pinnacles on Sunday, June 12.
Marie Ettinger, Elisa Godard and Hannah Marra scored for Kamloops in a 3-0 win in the first game.
Ettinger, Katherine Reid and Keenen Degen tallied in another 3-0 win in the second matchup.
Brenna Worsfold was in goal for both shutouts.
The team finished the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League season with eight wins and two ties, - with 28 goals for and one goal against.
