Sun Devils unable to shine

The Kamloops Sun Devils posted a 1-3 record in Pacific International League (PIL) play on the weekend.

Kamloops split a doubleheader with the Everett Merchants on Sunday, June 19, on McArthur Island.

Will Devick hit a walk-off single to clinch the victory.

Everett bounced back in Game 2, topping the Sun Devils 4-1.

The Seattle Studs swept a two-game series with the Sun Devils on Saturday, June 18, on McArthur Island.

Seattle thumped Kamloops 10-3 in the opening game and edged the Sun Devils 5-3 in Game 2.

Kamloops will host Kelowna at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at NorBrock Stadium.

The Sun Devils are fifth in the PIL with a 4-5 record.
